seattle PUPPYworks                                            smart people. brilliant dogs.

Leia, my 8 month old shelter rescue pup, is doing beautifully with everything I have applied and used from the classes.  The most amazing thing is that all of what we learn and practice is having a cumulative effect on her overall behavior.  After the first few weeks I began to notice that our communication was becoming exponentially better with each exercise.  Thank you for giving me the language, the ABC's, to relate with my dog.  Best of all, our bond has been strengthened as we both strive to understand each other.“ Shannon A. (Leia)

We are taking puppy classes at Seattle Dogworks. They are by far the best dog training facility in the area and we have attended classes at several others schools with our other dogs. Seattle Dogworks has a great philosophy and their techniques work. Their instructors are professional and helpful. They are there to answer any questions during and even after classes. I don't get the feeling they are pushing you out the door when class is over. Their affection for your animals is evident. We are very pleased with Seattle Dogworks”. Heather (Drummer)

I just wanted to say thanks again for the fantastic puppy class!  We think you guys do GREAT things there at Seattle Dogworks.

Rain is well on her way to becoming a good canine citizen and we feel like we really learned a LOT!!!  See you at the dog park!” Scott & Jenny, (Rain)

“Great instructor, very positive, welcoming environment. Fantastic place to learn along with your dog! We learned just as much as Pinto did.”   Magda (Pinto)

Our 8-month old puppy, Remy, just graduated from the Focus + Control class, and we are SO HAPPY! the instructor and his assistant were fantastic teachers.  Each class was structured in a really clear way: we could ask questions or raise concerns about our puppy's behavior, then we would work on a handful of carefully picked goals, then we would practice.  This structure really helped our dog - and us - learn.  The book was extremely helpful too! We loved learning through clicker training, and have been able to use this on other tricks.  The best things we learned were "touch," "stay," and "leave it!" Thanks again!” Cathy and Carlos (Remy)

We enjoyed the modern take on dog training & positive reinforcement, our instructor and all her lovely assistants. Thanks for a great class and wonderful teachers!”   Megan & Khris (Sasha)

Jimmie and I loved your classes. Not only did we learn a ton of important information but we had fun learning and doing it. We love your energy and super fun-loving training style. Thank you so much for showing us how to be the best parents for little Cuddles.” Karl & Jimmie (Cuddles)

The individual attention was great. It was helpful getting to talk about our dog and what we were struggling with. Great class! We will definitely recommend this class to any friend who purchases a dog.” Eric, Katie (Ninja)

We cannot begin to tell you how much we look forward to class  each Saturday.  You are a fantastic teacher, and your enthusiasm and love for the dogs is a joy to watch.” Michael & Wes ((Rufus & Martha)

I have to tell you that I'm so excited about the improvement I'm having with the leash walking!!!  Ted E picked it up in a couple days and only needs to be reminded occasionally.  What a pleasure to walk a dog that is not constantly pulling.  And what a gentle way to teach him instead of yanking on his chain all the time.  Whoo-hooo!  To think that I put him and me through the other methods.....”Jennie F., (Ted E)

We really enjoyed the class!”

Seeing progress quickly. Great class! Really liked the small class size.”

The class size was ideal for asking lots of questions. Faith was a great teacher and very personable. We enjoyed the class and learned a lot!”

We had a great time, learned a lot! We enjoyed the small class size, the ability to ask questions about issues even if the class hadn’t covered it yet.”

It was a great experience to bond with our dogs and the clicker techniques were very helpful! The small puppy size was really nice and I felt my puppy got a great amount of attention.”

Great class - really enjoyed it. It taught us a lot and Otis has gotten better on the leash. Each dog got individual attention in class. We were able to discuss all the issues we had with Otis and got great advice that translated to better behavior.”

Great practical guidance regarding behaviors and commands. Opportunity to practice with instructor and other dogs/people. This class was very useful and enjoyable.”

This class helped Wallace build more confidence! It was amazing to see him grow so much in such a short time. The class was really helpful!”

We enjoyed the interaction with other puppies and style of teaching. Thank you!”

Enjoyed the individual attention while we were working on new commands. The individual support was great!”.

Enjoyed the teacher and the assistants, also the small class size, and answers to our random dog training questions.”

Enjoyed the responsiveness of instructors to questions. Great suggestions for alternate approaches. Clear and organized handouts made it easy to practice at home. I learned so much!”

First class with my dog. Great instructors!”

You are so AWESOME! Thanks for your quick response and detailed advice. It gives us a lot of hope and best of all a plan on which to focus our efforts. We REALLY appreciate your time and the sharing of your knowledge.”

Enjoyed the specific instruction. Very knowledgeable and super helpful!”

Friendly atmosphere. Good content. Loved the class.”

Great class - would recommend it to others”.

We really enjoyed Basic Training, and Helo definitely learned a lot.  He now easily sits, lies down, stays, and comes on command.  I look forward to taking another class from Seattle Dogworks. Chris & Jeff (Helo)

I can’t express enough gratitude and praise for my experience with Seattle Dogworks. When I began looking for trainers for my rescued dog I was overwhelmed by choices. I was concerned that I make the right choice, so that Sofia, who’d been used as “target practice” prior to her adoption by me, suffer no additional psychological harm through training. I am grateful I received repeated word of mouth recommendations leading me to an organization committed to non-aversive canine training—the only workable solution for us. My dog and I were transformed into better communicators the instant we walked through the door.  She has evolved to a trusting and ever-ready student—willing to be guided eagerly, and I have learned how to get and keep her attention.  It is true transcendence to find trainers/mentors capable of reflecting what might be going on inside the head of a dog in a manner a human can internalize, and respond to in a positive, constructive way.  I know with the support of the trainers at Seattle Dogworks, there is no limit to what my brilliant, formally bullied Aussie Shepard mix can learn to do (not to mention what they can teach her master!).My emotionally broken canine still refuses to talk about her past, but she now has a solidly bright future that she awakens to every day—thanks to our training at Seattle Dogworks.
