Puppyworks Launch Project

Puppyworks is feeling mighty cramped in our existing Capitol Hill space, and our limited service menu.

We've heard your almost daily requests, including:

  • What do you offer for older pups?
  • Do you have parking?
  • Are there advanced classes?

It's time. We need to go much MUCH BIGGER.

Present Challenges

The last two years have been an absolute rollercoaster. We closed down March 2020, and nearly didn't survive. Seattle was eerie. Then we received essential business clearance, and nearly drowned in the massive influx of new pups, at times seeing over 100 puppies PER DAY. And we prevailed!

2020 & 2021 have produced huge market ripples, creating massive surges (and grim droughts) in attendance, and the economic impacts continue. As our industry adapts and slowly recovers from these wild fluctuations, we are critically aware that Puppyworks needs to grow. Socialization & training certainly don't end at 18 weeks.

New Goals

There are so many things to build!

Playground Advanced

An indoor/outdoor playground for PuppyPlay graduates and well-tempered adolescents and young adult dogs.

S.O.A.R PUPS (RESCUE)

[Working title] Non-Profit venture building long-term partnerships with local business and individuals to provide Socialization Scholarships for puppies in low-income, shelter, and foster homes. Participating pups would receive social Play & training at Seattle Puppyworks and participating facilities.

No puppy left behind or forgotten!

Puppyworks Academy

Building additional classrooms, offering topics including Agility Primer, Treiball (Urban Herding), Nosework Basics, Advanced Obedience, Off-Leash Fieldwork, Canine Nutrition, and more!

We also are assembling a library of online resources for dogs of all ages — a Knowledgebase or Support Center for puppy parents all over Washington! Content will become available starting THIS MONTH and accelerate as we go along.

The Blue Hydrant

A social space for puppies & parents to meet, arrange playtime, social adventures and share experiences & training tips. Rather like a platonic cross between Facebook & Tinder, for dogs!

Studio Canis

Offering photography services, capturing those precious puppy pictures, candids, and fantastic graduation portraits!

We are also planning construction of a XR training soundstage, complete with Dolby Atmos audio mastering & professional cine projectors to create an immersive environmental simulator, similar to a Hollywood virtual stage. This unique space will allow dogs of all ages to experience diverse sounds & sights, practice calm responses and interaction, and all in a safe and controlled training environment.

Need desensitizing to fireworks? Check. Wanna explore a busy marketplace? Check. Anxious about skateboards? Visit our virtual skatepark, all with precise control over the experience.

Our Plan

  1. Hiring! We need additional staff to provide coverage and pre-stage training & preparation for new services.
  2. Identify & secure a prime commercial space to relocate into. Seattle's SODO neighborhood has potential.
  3. Begin offering trial classes for alumni & select clients.
  4. Buildout & renovation on the new space, continuing to provide Play & Training services while we impatiently wait.
  5. Soft-launch core services in our new space, fixing glitches and refining operations.
  6. All systems go!!

This will be a truly massive effort, and we cannot succeed without your help.

Seattle Puppyworks LLC is a for-profit enterprise, crowdfunding donations are not tax-deductible. However, our upcoming 501(c)(3) will be able to accept charitable donations in the near future.
